Like all gypsy wedding musicians, the Bulgarian bandleader can’t afford to be a stickler for authenticity—he’s at home with Henry Mancini’s Pink Panther theme (chopped here into staccato orientalisms) and expert bebop usages (on clarinet even). Gypsies do come wilder, but no band at a U.S. reception will juice your heart ratethis reliably.
